More reasons to go Mac and never go back. Apple Camp for Kids.
Like you needed another reason to finally go Mac… other than the way-better, easier, more inspired computers, the iPod, the iPhone, the Genius Bar, the styling, the simplicity, the friendly non-geek nature of a Mac? Okay, okay ... how about Apple Camp, their free 3-hr. workshops for kids 8-12?
There’s a movie workshop, music workshop, photo workshop and presentation workshop. The Apple Camp is so great, most stores just sold out their available spots after only a day. But there are also free Apple Youth Workshops you can sign up for throughout the year at most Apple stores. Or, heck, you could probably just stop in and they’ll give ya a mini workshop right then and there. They’re like that.
Bottom line: kids love Macs, Apple embraces kids, and kids raised on Macs will probably have a more creative spirit. Look at any business where creativity rules (e.g., advertising, editing, production, ...) and the creatives at the keys are always on a mac. Put your kids ahead of the curve ... while also easing your everyday tech stress.
My heart was locked the day my 3-year old fried my laptop and the Apple Genius Bar had me back up and running three hours later at no charge (yea, I had to buy a new computer, but they transferred all, were no-stress and shared similar everyday stories that soothed my soul). They fixed me up, while I dined, and then returned to my shiny new laptop with everything in the exact same spot as it was on my old, fried computer. And all without an appointment. Try that on a PC.
